Best Dressed: Met Gala 2012
Camilla Belle in Ralph Lauren. I think she looked amazing. Overall, her look was very "Ralph Lauren" considering his recent collections have all been an ode to the 20s. I love that she chose a dark lip color and kept it simple with no necklace.
January Jones is right on trend in a Versace neon frock with a peplum shape. I love the subtle hints of metallic and surprisingly, her turquoise necklace goes flawlessly with her look. She chose no other jewelry, but I would have loved to see some cool cuffs along with this dress.
Nina Dobrev in a Donna Karan metallic one shoulder gown with a long train. I love the contrast of the shiny metallic against the sheer black fabric. Her train almost looks like she's walking on water. My only drawback to this look was that thin strap holding up the right side of her dress. I would have loved to seen that off, it looks a little awkward next to the larger strap. Other than that, she looks stunning!
Kate Bosworth opted for a Prada feathered mini dress and dark vampy lips. Her flapper-esque ensemble was different from the other gowns, but nonetheless styled to perfection and one of my favorites!

Must-Have Beauty Product: Wet n Wild Megalast Nail Polish
This nail polish definitely lives up to its name. I bought this polish when I wanted to try the turquoise nail trend. I looked everywhere and found so many great turquoise shades, but I did not want to spend $8 on nail polish when I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I found the Wet n Wild brand in "I Need a Refresh-Mint" and I held it up to Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos." It was almost identical in color, but Wet n Wild is priced at $1.99! I tried it out and of course I loved it. Not only was the color great, but the nail polish did not chip after a week! Whenever I get OPI or Essie, it chips within the first few days of wearing it. I also loved the larger, "pro" brush. It made for easy application. I later bought "Bite the Bullet" which is a mauve/lavender color. I recommend this nail polish to anyone who loves to experiment with different nail colors. There are 18 beautiful shades ranging from subtle neutrals to bold brights. I just bought "Tropicalia" today at Walgreens and they were on sale for .99¢!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas
Mother's Day is right around the corner and I thought I would share some gift ideas that are sure to make your mom smile.
Scented Candles-These Diptyque scented candles smell like heaven. They come in a variety of different scents to choose from. I actually have Mimosa and it has lasted me quite awhile. Scented candles are perfect for the mom who loves to unwind in a good bath. What's better than a gift that is both soothing and relaxing?
Scarf- Scarves are the perfect accessory for moms because they are so easy! Just throw them on with essentially any look. I chose a classic leopard scarf by Theodora & Callum. They make very unique scarves seen on celebrity moms such as Jessica Alba and Kourtney Kardashian. Check out their website. They have a great tutorial on how to wear your new scarf 6 different ways! Versatile and fashionable....sounds like the perfect gift.
Monogram Necklace- Monogrammed pieces are personal and much more meaningful. I chose a monogram necklace because I think you really can do no wrong with jewelry! Bauble Bar and Swell Caroline both have great selections when it comes to monogrammed pieces. I also thought it would be a cute idea to get mother daughter matching necklaces.
Stacked Bracelets- This is an easy and affordable gift idea. Talbots has really stepped it up in the jewelry department and I happen to love these colorful bangles. If your mom isn't fond of a lot of color, these subtle bracelets will add just the right amount. Your fashionable mom will thank you for the new addition to her arm party.
Perfume- Perfume can sometimes be tricky. However, I think if you stick with classic scents such as Chanel Chance or Miss Dior Chérie you will always get it right. I also love Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb scented lotion, which is not as potent as the perfume. Also, it's cheaper and perfect for dry skin. Pair this with the scented candles and you have one happy momma!

Trend Alert: Peplum
The peplum shape is a newbie in the fashion world, but it is a style that has caught on like wildfire, especially for designers such as Jason Wu and Stella McCartney. Peplums are feminine and flirty, with just the right amount of sex-appeal to make you stand out amongst the crowd. It creates the illusion of that coveted hourglass figure and the peplum is flattering on almost all body types. Peplums make the cutest party tops and special occasion dresses. Some of my favorite fashion bloggers such as Gal Meets Glam and Life is Reed-iculous have been spotted wearing their adorable peplum tops. I think it's safe to say I need to jump on the bandwagon and find a peplum for myself, possibly one for my sister's engagement party! Overall, the peplum shape is definitely worth investing in.
