Pillow Talk

Lately, the fashion industry is all about effortless fashion and what better trend for no-fuss fashion than the pajama trend. The pajama trend is perfect for spring because it is lightweight and extremely comfortable. You'll want to look for silk pajama-inspired pants, possibly with a small geometric print. Pair it with a silk or lace blouse and strappy stilettos. Less is more when styling this look. You can wear this trend during the daytime or nighttime. During the day, stay simple and just wear the silk pants with a structured blouse seen below on Julia Engel from Gal Meets Glam. For nighttime, you can really play up the glamour effect with a sequin cardigan and add layers of jewelry to your look, whether it's strands of necklaces or stacked bangles. I wrote a post not too long ago when the pajama trend really started to become prominent in fashion, seen here. I am really fond of this look and I hope more people embrace it for spring and fall.

Glove Love

It is no secret that gloves are a fall accessory staple, but this year the typical knit glove is taken to a whole new level. There are so many options to choose from, but it looks like this season it is all about the long evening glove seen on the runways of Jason Wu, Christian Dior, J. Mendel and many more. This look is preferably for nighttime paired with a gown or flirty cocktail dress. I happen to like the edgy, sporty gloves we're seeing a lot of on the runways from Burberry, Balenciaga, and Tommy Hilfiger. These are more practical to wear everyday. I am loving the different styles and textures mixed together, like suede and leather, velvet, metal studs, animal print, and lace. Gloves are certainly a fun way to spice up your outfit, even if you're not trying to stay warm!

Suits Yourself

Power suits are dominating the fall 2012 runways. They are anything but ordinary, from quirky colorful prints to regal velvet. This look is all about no-fuss fashion. Put on a suit and you immediately appear strong, confident, and fearless. Embrace men's fashion and incorporate small details into your accessories. For example, a colorful pocket scarf. However, don't forget to keep your femininity. I was really inspired by the Ralph Lauren fall runway show. Even though these power suits were very masculine, the feminine details make it wearable. For example, the layers of chunky gold jewelry, the popped pointed collars, and the puffed shoulders on the plaid blazer. Which brings me to my next point, anytime you do a suit, you don't necessarily have to match your blazer to your pants. I love mixing it up with a patterned or bold colored blazer. Play with the lengths too, seen below on the runway from Paul Smith. Power suits are definitely a look to invest in.

Revlon Smoked Peach

This shade is definitely my new favorite lip color. I decided to give it  try when I saw it on Andee Layne from The Honeybee. She is too cute! If you haven't checked out her blog, I suggest you do. I figured this lip color would look good on my skin tone, considering I have very fair skin and peachy/coral lip colors look best on me. I love it! I swiped on Revlon Colorburst lip gloss in Peony Pivoine, just to add a little shine.

Transitional Knit Sweaters

One of the most versatile items in your closet is a light knit sweater. This piece is perfect to transition from spring to fall. For fall, layer a mesh sweater over a long-sleeve tee and during spring, wear your sweater over a tank. I also love a knit sweater layered over a maxi dress, for a fun alternative cover-up for those cool days. There are so many options, from neon colors to different cuts. Here is some outfit inspiration below from Nordstrom!
