Poppy Delevigne

Poppy Delevigne has to be one of my favorite style crushes, aside from Olivia Palermo and Taylor Tomasi Hill of course. Poppy has been on my style radar for awhile now and I cannot seem to get enough! Her signature cool street style has made her a favorite among photographers such as Tommy Ton and Stockholm Streetstyle. The model and socialite is always photographed wearing the seasons hottest trends straight from the runway. Here are some of my favorite looks and I hope you get inspired just as much as I have.

The Best Trends of 2011

The new year is right around the corner and I thought it would be fun to round up some of 2011's most noteworthy trends. These trends aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so you can be sure to see almost all of them making a comeback in 2012.

Peplum Party
Photobucket
Moschino, Giambattista Valli, Stella McCartney
A fun and flattering shape for any woman who's not afraid to try something different. The peplum skirt was a favorite in 2011 among young celebrities such as Emma Stone and Dianna Agron.

Midi Madness

ChloƩ, Marc by Marc Jacobs, BCBG
The midi skirt reigned supreme in Spring and Summer of 2011. Not only is the midi skirt extremely versatile, but it comes in many variations to fit your personal style. From fitted to flared, the midi skirt will take you from season to season.

Sheer Genius

Michael Kors, J. Mendel, Alberta Ferretti
Sexy and romantic, the sheer trend is all about showing some skin. This barely-there fabric was so popular during 2011, almost everyone from celebrities to supermodels were spotted in something sheer.

Tailored Away

Tommy Hilfiger, ChloƩ, Paul Smith
Tailored suits are definitely a great staple for women. I noticed menswear inspired suits on multiple runways for 2011. Add feminine details, such as a lace top or strands of pearls and you will have a classic look in no time.

Flower Power
Photobucket
Etro, Erdem, Dolce and Gabbana
Prints are no surprise when it comes to fashion, but the most popular had to be head-to-toe florals. From bright 3d floral prints to dark winter florals, this trend is here to stay.

Game On

Isabel Marant, Derek Lam, Akris
Varsity jackets are no longer for the athletes. Luxury sportswear goes mainstream in the fashion industry, leaving you with effortless and comfortable looks.

Shorts Suit

Tommy Hilfiger, Jason Wu, Akris
The shorts suit is a modern take on the traditional pant suit. This look is more common during the warmer months, considering it is really lightweight. This look is easy, effortless and cool. I'm sure we'll see more of the shorts suit in 2012.

Tangerine Tango

Pantone announced the new color for spring 2012 about a week ago. It has to be the most fitting name ever, Tangerine Tango. I love it, because it is the perfect marriage between red and orange. I have noticed this color on multiple spring 2012 runway shows. Everything from home decor to beauty products will be in this shade. I have written a few posts about this yummy hue seen herehere and here. It is by far one of my favorite colors and I am so excited to see it in retail stores everywhere.

Holiday Party Attire

Tis the season for holiday parties! It is finally December and with Christmas approaching, it is time you start thinking about your Christmas party attire. Whether it is a company party or a family get together, there is no excuse not for you to look your best. Of course, I will always be a fan of the classic LBD when it comes to cocktail attire. However, I want to show you that you can do so much more with your wardrobe and still look just as fabulous. Here are some ideas on what to wear to your holiday festivities.

Menswear Inspired- A shorts suit, preferably winter white tuxedo with some sheer tights. Or, opt for some wide-leg trousers. Add a fitted, feminine bow blouse and you have one sizzling holiday look.

Sparkle and Shine- Whether it's a sequin clutch or metallic skirt, the holidays are your time to shine. Dazzle your friends with a sparkly sequin tunic, liquid leggings and sky-high ankle boots. Not only is this outfit super comfortable, but effortlessly fashionable. This will be definitely be my go-to NYE ensemble.

Jewel Tones- Sultry jewel tones can do no wrong in my eyes. These colors look great on every skin tone. Find colors such as emerald, cobalt blue, canary yellow, sapphire, crimson and royal purple. These bold colors are perfect for flirty cocktail dresses and sure to make a statement at any party you attend.

Sheer and Sexy- Ladies, the sheer trend is here to stay. Look for a sheer maxi skirt or sheer blouse. You can add to the feminine sheer trend with oversized statement jewelry or if you're feeling a little naughty, let your black lace bra show through underneath your blouse. This trend should strictly be worn with people you feel comfortable with. Wearing a sheer blouse to a business party or around family members may be a little inappropriate. Have fun with this one, but just remember to always be a lady and never expose too much.

Pops of Red- A classic Christmas color done a whole new way. Add pops of red anywhere you can, with bold red lips or eye-catching red stilettos. Partner red with leopard and you are ready for a night out.
