Paul & Joe Spring 2011

This collection is the quintessential spring lookbook. Vibrant colors, comfortable yet stylish pieces, playful jumpsuits, high-waisted shorts, flared trousers, silk fabrics, shiny metallic elements, floral prints, wrap dresses, crop tops, shrunken jackets and ethereal blouses. All of which are completely wearable for spring/summer weather. Fun, flirty and fresh. By far, my favorite spring collection!

Trend Alert: Tribal Prints

Tribal prints are emerging yet again, as a fun and festive way to bring color into your wardrobe. Bold prints are extremely popular during spring and summer fashions. Floral prints exude romanticism and femininity, while animal prints will always be exotic and sexy. However, wearing tribal prints can create a unique fashion statement for anyone who is willing to try. In tribal prints, you will find an eclectic mix of bright hues, with a bohemian influence. You can keep this look casual with an aztec print sweater and acid wash jeans, like Kate Bosworth. Or, you can turn up the volume in an ethnic print mini dress, with eye-catching colors, seen below at Diane Von Furstenburg. This trend doesn't have to feel so "warrior-esque." You can certainly add elements of femininity to your look, with chunky gold jewelry, wood bangles, or stacked turquoise rings. You want the tribal print to be the the focal point of your look, so it is important keep your makeup and accessories more subdued. If you want to try the tribal trend, but don't feel like you can pull off the pattern, add neutral hues to your palette. A safari trench coat or a chic blazer will cut the intensity of the print. This patterned trend is popping up almost everywhere now that spring is near, so be on the lookout and incorporate tribal prints into your every day look.

Spring 2011 Comeback Trend: 70's Glam

70's fashion makes a strong comeback this year for spring 2011. My favorite fashion era will always be the seventies. It has influenced the fashion industry tremendously with its free-spirited hippie aesthetic. Many designers look to vintage fashion as their source of inspiration for their collections. What was old, is now new again, but with an updated twist. This year, the 70's fashion trend combines classic bohemian, with modern staples. Add contemporary pieces to keep a good balance. The fashion industry is not conforming to old trends anymore. Lately, vintage style has been made to look current and kicking our modern trends to the curb. Wide leg trousers are the new skinny jeans, long flowing maxi dresses are the new minis, and high-waisted pants are now taking over low-waisted pants. For spring 2011, it is all about making a statement. 70's fashion was full of vivid colors and bold prints, from mustard yellow to regal purple, these bright hues were worn without fear. The 70's glam trend is completely wearable for you to combine daytime and nighttime trends together. Take a peek at these 70's inspired runway shows and start mixing up your wardrobe to create a 70's glam look.

Bronze: The New Color Of The Season

I am a sucker for anything metallic these days. Beautiful metallic bronze is everywhere this season, from runway shows to your everyday makeup, this color is universally flattering on all skin tones. I can tell you how to incorporate this color into your everyday look.

Fashion
Wearing bronze instantly makes your skin glow. Pair bronze accessories with neutrals or black, so they can really shine. This color can also transition into spring and summer. But, I love the Autumnal palette, with copper tones and shimmery metallic hues. Either way, this color really looks gorgeous on anyone.

Beauty
Work this color into your makeup routine by adding metallic bronze eye shadow in the corner of your eye and on your eyelid, for an instantly glam look. Even during the frigid winter months, you can still create a warm glow with light bronzer to highlight your cheekbones. Another fun way to use this color, is on your nails. This trend is popular among the likes of, Blake Lively and Kate Bosworth. The best shimmery bronze nail polish out on the market is DIOR Vernis in Bronze Libertine. This polish will cost you $21, but it is so worth it.

Accessories
If you don't want to try the metallic trend, buy subtle accessories like this glamorous sequin pencil case and makeup case from Banana Republic. I have both cases and I love them for my small trinkets, like lotion, hand sanitizer, etc.
